Hugging Face is hiring a ML Engineer Internship - Accelerate

About the Role

The Accelerate library allows PyTorch users to run their training loop on any kind of distributed setup and regroups multiple methods to accelerate training or inference (mixed precision, torch dynamo…). During your internship, you will integrate a new feature in Accelerate, such as training on TPU pods, FP8 mixed precision, or integrating with torch dynamo. (All of those are examples of features that are currently being added, the exact feature added during the internship will be decided closer to the internship start date.)

With this exciting opportunity, you’ll get to run the initial experiments, benchmark the integration against the existing ones, open-source your work in the Accelerate library, present your findings to the Hugging Face team, and share your results with the Machine Learning community.

Preferred Location

Ideally, you are based in NYC, but we are open to remote work for the right candidate.
